This Mississauga based Custom Machining (Dundas and Dixie Road) job shop has been operating for more than 40 years providing precision machining, machine building and fabrication services to a wide variety of customers in the petroleum, energy, pulp & paper, mining, power transmission and injection molding fields. Their large range of precision CNC machines includes horizontal and vertical boring mills, planer mills, horizontal and vertical machining centers. Typical machines include Toshiba, San Rocco, Mazak, Wotan, TOS, Bertram, Monti, Daewoo, Pama and Waldrich using a variety of controllers.(Hiendenhan, Fanuc, Mazatrol,Tosnuc) with multi-head automatic tool changers.
The majority of the work they perform is of a custom nature and they are well equipped to handle machining and fabrication jobs of very large size typically found in the power generation, mining and petroleum industries. Their non-union facilities are ISO 9002 certified and equipped with the most up to date co-ordinate measuring machines and computerized tool setting equipment to ensure that their customer’s requirements are met.
Expansion creates the need for experienced CNC Machinists who are confident in their skills, positive in attitude and bring an approach that is team oriented. These positions require dedicated Certified General Machinists with various levels of CNC experience (intermediate to senior level) that are capable of performing their own set-ups and machining operations on a variety of CNC machining equipment, particularly large horizontal CNC boring mills and/or planer mills. Specifically, the positions are as follows:
CNC Boring mill operator for a San Rocco Floor type boring mill. Hours of work will be 4 PM to 2 AM. For an experienced person, the starting rate will be up to $28.00 per hour.
CNC Planer mill operator on a Waldrich Coburg planer mill. Hours of work will be 4 PM to 2 AM. For an experienced person, the starting rate will be up to $28.00 per hour.
In both of these situations, we are willing to train a junior person with a few years of solid machining experience and good future potential but the starting rate would be assessed based on your experience.
The management of this company has worked deliberately to create and maintain a positive work culture within their operations. They have genuine regard for their people and a compensation plan that is attractive and largely responsible for their very low rate of employee turnover. Normal shifts are five days/week of 10 hours duration with flex-time work schedules. The fifth day is paid at time and a half which means that your weekly income will total 55 paid hours per week. Additional overtime is available. In addition, they provide full employee benefits, annual bonus after one year of service and a lucrative pension plan.
