Up to $ 80,000 plus full benefits, pension plan and yearly bonus

This Oakville based (Burloak and QEW) Custom Machining job shop has been operating for 40 years providing precision machining, machine building and fabrication services to a wide variety of customers in the petroleum, energy, pulp & paper, mining, power transmission and injection molding fields. Their precision machines include large CNC horizontal and vertical boring mills, (CNC and 5 axis heads with spindle diameters of 4 to 8 inches, rotary tables, Hiendenhan, Fanuc, Mazatrol and Tosnuc controls with multi-head automatic tool changers), as well as planer mills, horizontal and vertical machining centers. They are well equipped to handle custom machining and fabrication jobs of very large size as is typically found in the power generation, mining and petroleum industries. Their non-union facilities are ISO 9002 certified and equipped with the most up to date co-ordinate measuring machines and computerized tool setting equipment to ensure that their customer’s requirements are met.

Expansion into a new shop now being built in the Burloak & QEW area creates the need for experienced CNC Machinists who are confident in their skills, serious about their work, positive in their attitude and bring an approach that is team oriented. These positions require dedicated Certified General Machinists with various levels of CNC experience (intermediate to senior level) that are capable of performing their own set-ups and machining operations on a variety of large CNC machining equipment, particularly Toshiba, Pama, Monti & Wotan large horizontal CNC boring mills. If you have experience with any of these types of large CNC Horizontal Boring machines, we will welcome your interest.

The management of this company has worked hard to create and maintain a positive work culture within the operation. Firstly, they treat their people like "grown-ups" and practice a genuine regard for their people. This, coupled with a compensation plan that is very attractive, is largely responsible for their very low rate of employee turnover. Hourly base rates range from $22.00 to $28.00 and more depending on your experience and ability. Normal shifts are five days/week of 10 hours duration with flex-time work schedules. The 5th day is all at overtime rates of time and one half. As well, the company provides full employee benefits, annual bonus after one year of service and a lucrative pension plan. Annual incomes will be in the $ 70,000 to 85,000 range.

These opportunities are immediate and will be attractive to highly skilled and positive minded machinists. If you feel you have the large CNC machining experience we are seeking and are capable of performing your own setups and work on complex parts with a minimum of supervision, we invite you to call Robert Kennedy at 1-800-251-0960 to arrange to meet and see the operations first hand.
