SERVICE MANAGER – AMMONIA BASED REFRIGERATION SYSTEMS

For the past 20 years, this Niagara based HVAC design-build engineering organization has developed a record of accomplishment in the commercial and industrial refrigeration field.  Serving a wide range of end users in the food processing, manufacturing and industrial fields, they design, build, install and service all types of refrigeration (including ammonia), air conditioning systems and installations.  In particular, they are recognized as one of the major organizations that specialize in Ammonia based systems typically found in the food processing industry.

Their growth results in the need for a Service Manager to assume responsibility for overall service operations.  The individual required for this position must have the experience and technical expertise specifically in Ammonia based refrigeration systems coupled with the people management skills that will ensure ongoing customer satisfaction with the caliber of service the organization provides. This is a key leadership role with direct responsibility for the entire service operation and a pivotal element in the company’s growth objectives. 

In terms of technical background, we are ideally looking for an individual with background in

·         Control systems such as Carrier VVT, 3V, CCN - Trane Tracer.

·         PLC programming - Allen Bradley.

·         Excellent working knowledge of Refrigeration system operation, DX, Liquid recirculation. Gravity feed, Hot gas defrost, Freon and NH3 systems.

·         Compressor rebuilding - Screw and reciprocating.

·         Some HVAC system design – Load calculations and duct design.

·         Some Refrigeration system design – Load calculations and piping design.

·         Service management experience working for a mechanical contractor

As Service Manager, you would be directly responsible for providing leadership and for developing and implementing customer driven service policies.  Some of the functions of the position include:

·         Provide leadership that fosters a positive work environment and promotes continuous improvement as the way of life within the organization.

·         Develop a team atmosphere across all departments, establishing and maintaining a positive management / employee relationships

·         Support the building of a winning team by training, coaching, evaluating, motivating and providing positive reinforcement and encouragement.

·         Participate in the design and implementation of the strategic and tactical plans for the Company.

·         Develop in cooperation with the Service team, annual service revenue forecasts and budgets that are achievable and support the overall objectives.

·         Develop and maintain positive client and supplier relationships.

·         Serve as a member of the Executive Management Team of the organization.
